Overview
Jeff possesses 25 years of experience in Architecture, Business Management and Development work. He has managed, designed and /or overseen built projects in excess of 400 million dollars. He is a registered Architect in Montana, License #1999, NCARB certified. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional with the US Green Building Council.
2018-Present: Paradigm Architecture, Principal
In late 2018 Jeff joined longtime co-worker Jackie Bull in purchasing Paradigm Architects from founder Carl Posewitz. Carl has remained as Principal Emeritus and Jeff and Jackie have taken over operations and management of the ten person firm. The firm has a thirty year history of delivering superior design and value in Western Montana and their prior work includes custom residential, commercial, corporate and education sector projects. Jeff and Jackie have added their own expertise in Healthcare as well as Resort design to the portfolio of expertise.
2010-2018: CTA Architects Engineers, Senior Project Manager
In his years at CTA Mr. Crouch acted as Senior Project Manager at CTA’s Missoula office working in a wide range of sectors including Commercial, Government, Sport, Home Ranch and Resort. While at CTA he worked to gain unanimous City of Missoula Approval for the rezoning and funding of 19 million dollars of tax incentive and other civic funding for the Hotel Fox project in downtown Missoula. Additionally he worked with long time client The Ranch At Rock Creek to design and develop multiple resort related projects. He also worked closely with Jackie Bull in designing and delivering over thirty constructed projects at Saint Patrick Hospital including the 13 million dollar Women’s and Children’s center.
1995-2010- Kibo Group Architecture, Partner and Senior Managing Architect
Jeff was involved in all phases of the firm’s work and oversaw the growth of the company from three to twenty five employees. He directed all facets of firm operations including assigning staff for each project, monitoring service delivery, finance, HR, client-development and strategic planning. He also acted as lead design architect on many projects including everything from design-build government projects such as the Border Patrol Station in Eureka, Montana to high end custom residential projects in resorts and on private ranches around the west.
2008-2014, Sustainable Building Systems
Jeff was co-founder, and President of Sustainable Building Systems, an Energy Services Company focusing on delivering green energy solutions to smaller commercial and residential clients using both renewable energy and energy efficiency techniques. He has overseen the growth of this company from two founders to a current total of 12 employees and partners. Work that he has managed includes government design build projects such as Solar PV design and install for US Forest Service Ranger Stations in Melrose, Philipsburg and Georgetown, Montana (Dec. 2009, $120,000 budgets); Energy Auditing and Implementation for the US Forest Service Bunk House in Darby, Montana (August 2010. $100.000 construction budget) and Performance Contracting Implementation Consultation for the US Forest Service through Honeywell (ongoing, 2.5 million dollar budget).
2005-2009 140 S4 LLC
Jeff was founder, President and COO of 140S4 LLC. While running this company he was in charge of all facets of the purchase, design, redevelopment and sale of a mixed-use downtown redevelopment project located in Missoula, Montana. This project included re-developing a 1950’s warehouse into a six unit condominium complex with residential and commercial components. The project was featured on the Missoula Sustainability Tour and has served to enliven and add vitality to an already dynamic downtown community. In 2008 Jeff received an Honor Award from the Montana Chapter of the American Institute of Architects for the project. Additionally, the project resulted in a 32% annualized ROI for its partners.
Interests
Jeff is passionate about the issues of sustainable development and construction and protection of the natural environment. Mr. Crouch is an avid kayaker, skier, cyclist and hunter and values his time in the Montana mountains greatly. He is married to Jennifer Boyer and has an 8 year old son. He also owns a wholesale /retail wine and spirits company in Missoula.
